Stash Report—Week 27

I’ve had several weeks of “nothing in-nothing out”……. it’s not like I’m not sewing,  rather I’m not finishing!  But this week, the beginning of the second half of this year I have both.

The finish is the medallion quilt. Most of these blocks were part of a Kansas Troubles 2 block pattern. Started back in 2007 maybe 2008, abandoned and relegated to a shelf after completing 100 or so blocks.  It was too dull, muddy and just no spark.

K T medallionI am pretty happy that I managed to salvage this project into a  nice quilt.   And, there were enough leftover blocks to make 42 Sisters Choice blocks for another quilt.

On the plus side….an online purchase of Fat Quarters and a trip to the LQS.

So, the numbers for week 27….the half way point.

Acquired this week……3.0 yards…….mostly FQs!

Acquired year to date….94. yards

Used this week……12.5  yards

Used year to date…..91.5  yards

Stashed 2.5 yards —-closing the gap, but still in the red.

Beautiful quilt! Nice save. Congrats on the finish and on being almost in the black.

  2. When your numbers are that close its a WIN!! I like your quilt–if it was too muddy–you’ve fixed it.

  3. Not by much! Impressive used YTD – that’s what counts. Hmm – think week 26 was half way point. Love that quilt!

  4. Julie in GA says:

You may still be in the red, but you are so close to even!
