Stash Report–Sunday August 19, 2012

It is just not right!  I’ve been working hard to get out of the red….and then the local quilt shop had a huge sale.  I tried hard not to go but I really did need a bright backing for the train quilt…..and all was $5.00 a yard.  Then, when I saw how long I was going to wait to get fabric cut….but, I was there, and the wait would be the same if I had one bolt to cut or 5 bolts.  As it turned out, the wait wasn’t that bad, I visited with others waiting, shared ideas and my number was called pretty quick.

I finished the hand binding on the Bento Box so I have some to claim as used, too.

Here are my numbers:

Used this week …. 11.25 yds

Used YTD….159.75

Added this week……24.5     (it was a sale!!! !)

Added YTD….179.25

Net for 2012….19.5

Not so awful….now I’m off to check the other stash reports at Judy”s Patchwork Times.  Then I’m heading for the studio!

  1. Dar in MO says:

Those sales get me every time too. But just think of all the fun you had buying it, and more fun when you get to actually use it in a project!!! Double pleasure, and on sale to boot!!

  2. It’s so hard to not buy at a sale, especially these days with the cost of fabric so high. You are not into the red by much.
