Retiring # 8—the March UFO

So here it is the end of March and my #8 is still in pieces.  I’ve made a few more blocks, played on the design wall just a little, but old # 8 is going back into the box .  If you look back on the last couple of design wall Monday posts you might note there it was…stuck.  #8 is just not a happening quilt….although my daughter said she’d love to have it……not this wall 3-5-2012

You might want to check on over at Patchwork Times and see those successful UFO completions… to go find #10.  I sure hope it is one I can actually settle in to and finish!

  1. I love it! But maybe the quilt is percolating another idea for you and the timing isn’t right yet. On to the next one!

Maybe this one just needs to rest a little more … Thanks for sharing it with us. Judy C

At least some progress has been made.

PS. I just noticed on your side bar — you have finished 2 other UFO’s already. Then by all means, put it away and take a rest!! ha

Sorry you are having fits finished this one. I think it looks great so far. I’d keep at it and just make it smaller than originally planned to get it done. I’m still working on Feb. UFO — I’m determined to finish it this year!

I really like the colors and the different pieced blocks. I hope when you pull it out again something will gel for these great looking blocks.

well….sometimes it just doesn’t work out. maybe you need to turn those blocks into place mats or table runner or something.
